I loved music from a very early age- I can remember loving to listen to my dad's 8-tracks of Wings, Boz Skaggs, Steely Dan and Fleetwood Mac.  This was at the tender age of about 5-7.  The first band that I really remember being a fan of, however, was the Who.  In 6th grade, they were going to retire and they came out with their album, 'Who's Last' (who knew that this would only be the first in a series of retirements!).  I bought every magazine, book and cassette that I could with my limited resources and learned everything I could.  Baba O'Riley when Pete Townshend sings his bit... wow.  I hope my son grows to have the feeling of hearing a song so powerful that it can break your heart.

So let's give this thing a whirl.

I've been reflecting lately on the last year or so and have decided that since giving birth to the little guy, I'm in desperate need of a creative outlet.

For the last couple months of my pregnancy as well as the first three months of his life, I was actually able to do quite a bit. Between nursing and naps, I was inspired to knit and got a lot done. Since then, nada. I'm tired. I'm spit-up stained. I'm a mom.

This is my attempt to reenter the world and for now, I'll accept that my world will be limited to this journal.
